Swimming Terms & Conditions
Our insurance coverage requires a parent or guardian to remain on the pool deck during their child's swimming lesson. If a parent/guardian is unable to remain, their child's lesson will be cancelled and rescheduled up to a maximum of one time. Your child will be able to share their experience and successes with you. Your presence will also help calm any nerves.
Cancellations must be made within 2-weeks notice to receive a full refund. Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable. Rescheduling will only be given for medical reasons, which must be supported by a written cancellation and a doctor's note.
Each participant is allotted one make-up class per session (maximum). The make-up class can be booked after the regularly scheduled class has officially been missed. There are enough time slots for each registered participant to receive one make-up. There are no make-up carryovers between sessions. Absenteeism for any make-up class will result in a lost class (there are no make-ups for a make-up). In the event of lesson cancellation by the Swimming Instructor due to unforeseen pool closures/breakdowns or inclement weather, we will reschedule your lesson.
Rain, shine, or frosty days, swim lessons will go on! The exception is if we have a very heavy downpour or if there is thunder and lightning, the lessons will be cancelled and rescheduled at a mutually agreeable date as soon as possible.
Cold days - some mornings and some days we may experience cold weather, but rest assured, we also don't like being cold either. On these days, the pool temperature will be adjusted to keep everyone comfortable and happy. Please plan for these days and bring big towels and warm sweatshirts. You may also use our washroom to have a quick change out of cold, wet clothes.
Swimming Attire and Personal Comfort
Please have your child come to class prepared with a towel and a bathing suit. Long hair should be pulled back. Goggles are optional and based on personal preference.
Please apply your child's sunscreen at least 30 minutes before class to avoid having it wash off or to have it go into the water and aggravate people's eyes.
Children are asked to use the washroom before arrival. We do have a washroom on site and should the need arise, you are welcome to use it.
When waiting for your child, we have a shaded area for you to enjoy. Please be respectful of the homeowner property and actively supervise additional children who may be waiting for their sibling(s). You are welcome to bring in plastic water bottles into the deck area but for everyone's safety, please leave glass containers at home and remember to take your garbage/diapers with you.
At Marg's Swim School, we try to create a happy and safe learning environment so everyone can have a positive learning experience. If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with your lesson, please speak with us right away and we will do everything we can to work with you to resolve the problem, or we will give you your money back.
